This move begins the same way as the Bow & Arrow, but instead of the lead pushing the follow away, the lead makes the follow lean on his side. It can be followed up with some pretty dips and turns to make for a well-polished combo.

This move is a turn where the partners switch places, and then usually switch back, Zig-zagging across each others’ path. It’s also sometimes called The Butterfly, in reference to its Butterfly position.

The leader wraps the follower in a perpendicular Cuddle or Wrap position, then lowers to dip the follower’s upper body back. This is one of the easiest dips to learn and use with anyone. It’s all physics!

The High Five Spin is a cross-handed move where the follower pushes off the leader’s hand one or more times to perform free spins one direction and then the other.

The Cuddle is a variation on the Inside Turn with both hands connected. The leader turns the follow to wrap her up in his arms. This is a very versatile move! Learn the basic steps for it below, then check out the variations for ways to customize your dance.

The Cuddle Lean is a variation to The Cuddle (Wrap) and The Cuddle Dip (Wrap Dip) where the follower is in line with the leader at his side, he lunges to the side and the follower leans against him. This is the simplest lean.

The Spin Out is a turn lead at waist-level where partners end up in an extended open position. It comes after a wrap turn, usually the cuddle.

In a barrel roll, partners are in open position and spin around at the same time with hands connected the whole time. They go back-to-back and face-to-face quickly.
